- Authors
Cain, Rita Marie
- Abstract
The article reports on the U.S. Supreme Court's statement of authority for Congress to regulate the availability and use of personal data. This article also discusses the impact of the Court's decision in the case Reno v. Condon on privacy regulation. The Supreme Court, in this case, expressed a broader view of congressional authority to regulate data privacy in noncommercial settings. The case involves the Driver's Privacy Protection Act, which regulates the disclosure of personal records in the motor vehicle department records.
