- Abstract
In 1921, Anatolia hosted two important congresses concerning education. One of these congresses is the Greek Teachers' Congress held in Izmir and the other is the Education Congress held in Ankara. When these two congresses are compared, they differ from each other in terms of content, purpose of meeting and decisions taken. For this reason, it is seen that the relevant congresses do not correspond to each other in terms of comparison. However, when viewed from a wider perspective, it is seen that many of the decisions taken at the Izmir Greek Teachers' Congress bear similarities with the education system practices implemented or to be implemented by the Ankara Ministry of Education. Within the scope of the subject, the content of the Greek Teachers' Congress and the Education Congress will be mentioned and the points where these two congresses differ from each other will be revealed. In addition, attention is drawn to the similarity between the Ankara Ministry of Education practices and the decisions of the Izmir Greek Teachers' Congress. In this way, it is focused on how the perspectives of different fronts on education in the same period were similar.
