- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the associated of cell death and its molecular cascade in the regulation of cardiomyocyte differentiation in mouse embryo. The study uses Tdt-mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL), immunohistochemistry, and rat fetal heart cell line H9C2 to analyze TUNEL-positive cells in mice. Results show that the TUNEL-positive cells in the cardiomyocytes indicate DNA damage not cell death.
