- Abstract
The article reports on the passing of several individuals who were active in the field of chemistry. Among the deceased are Reinhold Ellmer, former editor-in-chief of the magazine "Chemie für Labor und Betrieb", Manfred Engelhardt, former employee at Merck, and Robert Howard Grubbs, who received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2005. Other deceased individuals include Hans Junek, Eva Maria Kirmse, Günter Maaß, and Wolfgang Werner, all of whom were long-standing members of the GDCh (German Chemical Society). The deceased are listed with their professional backgrounds and memberships in the GDCh.
