- Abstract
This document is an issue of the British Journal of Dermatology from May 2024. It includes several articles on different topics related to dermatology. One article discusses the potential use of lipid nanoparticles to deliver gene editing tools for the treatment of genetic skin disorders. Another article presents the results of a randomized controlled trial on the use of immunoadsorption for the treatment of pemphigus vulgaris and pemphigus foliaceus, showing no clear clinical benefit and a higher rate of severe infections in the treatment group. A third article explores the stigma associated with vitiligo and establishes severity strata for a stigmatization tool. Lastly, a cross-sectional analysis investigates the association between serum vitamin D levels and psoriasis, suggesting a potential superadditive effect of low vitamin D levels and high BMI on the odds of active psoriasis.
