- Abstract
The article focuses on the use of desktop personal computers (PC) in high-performance simulations of turbulent clouds. It states that graphics processing units (GPU), field-programmable gate arrays, and a larger number of cores in central processing units allow PCs to perform intensive matrix projection calculations. It talks about methods of utilizing GPUs for parallel computing of weather models for use in atmospheric large-eddy simulations.
