- Title
SORTING THROUGH GEOENGINEERING PROPOSALS.
- Abstract
The article informs that several geoengineering proposals to counter global warming have been examined to assess their potential for success. Tim Lenton of the University of East Anglia in England led the research, which analyzed these plans based on the global energy balance and their ability to suppress radiative forcing. The best plan was the one that would inject tons of sulfur aerosols into the upper atmosphere, thereby blocking sunlight from the Earth.
