- Abstract
This Study is concerned with the general geology, Hydrogeology, Fossils and Economical Significance of Cut Stone of Thano Bula Khan. Study of general geology and structures of the study was carried by intensive observation from all sides of topography; hydrogeological study was also carried out by the detailed collection of parameters, while the fossils were collected from different sites using field tools. Structurally the area is complex one as synclines, anticlines and thrust faulting is quite visible and beds exhibit steep dip and limbs of major structures are either opposite inclined or show dipping towards each other. Fossils collected from study area were identified and named as COLPHOPHYLLIA, PLESIOLAMPAS and petrified wood. Cut stone of the area is of great significance as it has been used throughout historic time as a major construction material because it affords strength, durability, architectural adaptability, and aesthetic satisfaction. No other type of material combines all these qualities. Resources are boundless, and workable deposits of one type or another may be found almost everywhere that needs are felt.
