DE LA VANGUARDIA A LA VISIÓN: IMÁGENES Y MODOS DE REPRESENTACIÓN EN LA POESÍA DE H.D.
- Authors
PALMERO, Natalia CARBAJOSA
- Abstract
Early 20th century avant-garde art is characterized by its split with language as an image-narrating mode. In its turn, modernist poetry, contemporary of pictorial vanguardism, incorporates visual elements to its creations, seeking above all the impact of an image upon the reader. This article focuses on American modernist poet H.D.'s works, so as to explore the relation of her discourse with the world of images, starting from her highest adherence to vanguardism in her youth and evolving, at an older age, towards a vision-based spirituality.
