- Abstract
The article presents author's opinion on the Environmental Health Training in Emergency Response (EHTER) Awareness Level course offered by the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) in Anniston, Alabama, U.S. in partnership with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta. The course teaches students how they can apply the environmental health information during emergency response and address issues such as disaster management, responder safety, and food safety. As stated more than 1,100 environmental health professionals from several U.S. territories have been trained in the course. Several states including Arizona, California, and, Florida have adopted the course curriculum to cater to their particular needs.
