- Abstract
The article presents authors views on the significance of continuing education for environmental health professionals and the cost effectiveness of such programs. The author says that the recent recession has motivated institutions and employees to adopt cost effective methods. He comments that the budget cost of education can not be cut down as it would devaluate the education. He discusses the effects of adopting cost-effective methods in the continuing education programs related to environmental health organized by National Environmental Health Association. He emphasizes that environmental health personnels need continuing education to remain competitive in relation to changing issues in their profession.
