- Abstract
This article discusses education in the the business communication discipline. The field faces challenges like the elimination of the graduate business education programs which produced the faculty of the discipline. The author acknowledge that business communication teachers have a more demanding path than their colleagues. No other business field has as specific a guideline as communication in the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business curriculum standards. Business communication teachers need to identify, recruit and mentor new business communication teachers and researchers.
