- Abstract
The article presents the profile of the second Vice Presidential candidate for the National Health Environmental Association. He holds a doctorate in Environmental Health (EH) Sciences from the Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina, and biology degrees, Master of Science and Bachelor of Arts, from Hampton University, Hampton, Virginia. His initial EH experience was as a U.S. Army Environmental Science Officer. He managed EH programs for an installation and for the Second Infantry Division, Korea. As an army medical research laboratory staff scientist, he conducted health effects research on weapons, developed a sampling vest to measure soldier exposure to weapon products, and assessed drinking water contaminants. As the Health Hazard Assessment Officer, U.S. Army Materiel Command. He evaluated health hazards associated with equipment and weapons. He was awarded the Army Surgeon General's highest skill qualification level. After 23 years of service he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Currently, he is an Environmental Health Scientist with ICE Consulting, Fairfax, Virginia.
