- Abstract
The article discusses the development of a staffing model for both first and second trimester abortion services following the adoption of the latest abortion law in the state of New York. The staffing model is aimed at minimizing personnel cost, achieve a satisfactory level of quality patient care and conform to the New York City Health Code. The model was developed after the New York City Department of Health showed their concern regarding the enactment of the abortion law, where no residency requirement nor any limitation of the type of facility where abortions will be performed.
