- Title
ATMI Petition Denied.
- Abstract
The article reports that the American Textile Manufacturers Institute's petition for a writ of certiorari regarding its False Claims Act case against the Limited Inc. and Tarrant Apparel Group has been denied by the U.S. Supreme Court. The petition, which was filed by ATMI on January 31, 2000, asked the court to review the U.S. Court of Appeals' decision to dismiss the case against the companies. The lawsuit claimed that the two companies concealed obligations owed to the U.S. in the form of duties, forfeitures and penalties.
