- Abstract
Objective: To describe the profile of publications on the use of fibrinolytic therapy in the patient diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction in emergency prehospital emergency services. Methods: This is an integrative, descriptive, exploratory, quantitative approach, carried out through research in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) databases, specifically Scielo, Lilacs and Medline, in the period of December 2016 and January of 2017, using the selected health science descriptors. After refinement, we selected 06 articles that fit the inclusion criteria. Results: All selected publications highlighted the benefits of using fibrinolytic therapy in the prehospital approach. However, although the available studies evidence the efficacy of early fibrinolytic therapy, its use in Brazil is still quite reserved. Prehospital thrombolysis is a feasible and potential measure for reducing reperfusion time, but it is not yet widespread in our context. Conclusion: It is necessary that this theme be discussed and disseminated among health services, but also the implementation of networking is necessary for everyone to work for a single objective, to promote efficient and quality care.
