- Abstract
A literary criticism is presented of the detective fiction books "Slicky Boys" and "The Wandering Ghost," by Martin Limón. Particular focus is given to Limón's depiction of East Los Angeles (L.A.), California and the U.S. military districts in Itaewon, Seoul, South Korea and Tongduchon, South Korea, including in regard to the Chicano detective character George Sueño in East LA. The book's portrayal of race, including racism, is discussed.
