- Abstract
The article discusses a study presented at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery which examined outcomes associated with aspheric monofocal intraocular lens (IOL). 123 patients with a mean age of 71.9 years served as subjects in this study. Results of the study showed that majority of the patients had distance uncorrected visual acuity of 20/40 or better, while 100% of patients had distance best corrected visual acuity of 20/40 or better. There were no lens-related complications in this study.
