- Title
Angle viscodissection with phaco surgery appears to reduce IOP.
- Authors
Boyle, Erin L.
- Abstract
The article focuses on a study that examined the outcome of adding angle viscodissection during primary phacoemulsification. Results showed that the addition of angle viscodissection led to reduced intraocular pressure (IOP) and a decline in the number of medications in narrow-angle/angle-closure glaucoma with co-existent cataract patients while maintaining good visual outcomes. Subjects in this study were divided into two groups. Only two eyes needed anti-glaucoma treatment in the last follow-up study.
