The article discusses the use of the gravitational method in embalming cadavers. The method utilizes embalming fluids consisting of preservatives, antimicrobial agents, buffers, wetting agents moisture retaining agents, perfumes and diluents. Advantages of the method include constant flow of embalming fluids and cost effectiveness. It is noted that embalming should prevent the growth of fungus and minimize the risk or fear of infection on contact with the dead body.
