- Abstract
This article presents a study that aimed to develop a selection tool (algorithm) for children with suspected peanut or tree nut allergies, to determine if it is safe for them to introduce these allergens at home. The algorithm was developed based on retrospective analysis of data and evaluated prospectively. The study found that the algorithm was feasible and safe, with only mild to moderate symptoms reported during home introductions. The authors suggest that implementing this algorithm could result in a more uniform approach and reduce healthcare costs. However, the study has some limitations that should be considered.
