The COVID-19 pandemic and the "plague of Athens": comparable features 25 centuries apart. Did the "lockdown" during the historic Plague of Athens mirror current day efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19? There are a number of similar characteristics between the current COVID-19 pandemic and the Plague of Athens in 430BC, such as medical and social parameters.
