- Abstract
The question of causal relations between quantitative sociological variables is based on the possibility of the construction of a linear mechanism of interrelations of a certain sub-system of variables concerning the object in question. The purpose of this article is to outline the basic idea of analogical models and the central means of their possible construction in the case of qualitative variables. The author briefly shows the relationship between the method shown in the article with the linear mechanism of the connection of quantitative variables. Just as in the case of quantitative variables, the model here described provides a certain means of interpreting the falsity or genuineness of the statistical measures of independence, the model of q-linear correlation of three variables provides a means of interpreting the falsity or genuineness of the statistical measures of independence in the case of qualitative variables. The purpose of this article has been to show the analogical possibility of causal meanings of the statistical measures of dependence also with regard to qualitative variables, as well as a possible method of expanding the existing systems of measuring the relations of qualitative variables.
