- Abstract
The author reflects on the report of a researcher from the University of Connecticut related to the effect of resveratrol on the heart and its role in the protection of the heart against ischemia-reperfusion injury. He considers the red wine as a best source of resveratol in food. An overview of various in vivo studies conducted by different researchers on cardio protection by resveratrol using animal models is also presented.
