- Abstract
An interview with Hou Hanru, Chinese curator and the director of exhibitions and public programs and chair of the Exhibitions and Museum Studies program at the San Francisco Art Institute in San Francisco, California, is presented. He states the reasons for his decision to move from Bejing, China to Paris, France in 1990. He describes how his experiences as an immigrant inform his curatorial practice. He discusses a few of the more than 50 exhibitions he has done so far.
