- Authors
Fabio Sánchez, Fernando
- Abstract
The article discusses independent literary and artistic currents in Post-Revolutionary Mexico. It describes the aesthetics of two literary movements/groups of the 1920s, the "Contemporáneos" and the "Estridentistas." It contrasts their views of the relationship between art and nationalism with the rhetoric of Mexican nationalist literature and muralist painting associated with a more acritical narrative of the Mexican Revolution.
