- Abstract
The article offers information on study which determines the effectiveness of the Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) guidelines in general medical practice regarding tonsillectomy for sore throats in children. It informs that SIGN guidelines help otolaryngologists in their surgery by providing recommendations for the management of sore throats. According to the study, tonsillectomy is a way to decrease the number of children with sore throats.
