- Abstract
The article offers information on the use of the internal mammary artery perforator (IMAP) flap for the reconstruction of head and neck defects. It notes that the IMAP flap is the same as other regional skin flaps which provide skin cover with superior colour match in the head and neck receptor region. It illustrates the versatility and consistency of IMAP flap which is thin and pliable, adapting easily to the subtle contour and mobility of the suprasternal maxillofacial structures.
