- Title
Joint Strike Fighter in perspective.
- Authors
Bergmann, Kym
- Abstract
The author reflects on the issues surrounding the delay of the delivery of Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) to Australia by the U.S. Department of Defense in 2009. He assesses that the delay may cost more than the original 49,000 million dollars in 2002. He stresses that it appeared in an unexpected situation and contrary to previous assertions that the program was on time and on budget. He views that if there are further delays to JSF program, it will be possible for the country to buy more of these aircraft.
