The article focuses on the inception of nuclear physics. It notes the conduction of sets of experiments by Ernest Rutherford, Hans Geiger and Ernest Marsden on scattering of α particles from thin gold foil by which Rutherford observed an atom which he conceived as containing a nucleus. The nuclear model of Rutherford is indicated to have drawn an accurate detail of atom's structure which eventually started nuclear physics.
