- Abstract
It is well established that the physiological, anatomical, and mechanical behavioral aspects of bone like non-homogeneity, and multi-scale structural and compositional complexity, demand suitable evaluation methods for bone. It is usual practice to use laboratory animal models for biomedical research and the specific evaluation needs that arise due to variation in material properties of bone with various factors like age, sampling sites, orientation, and species necessitate the development of customized test methods. This paper presents few tests that utilize small bone samples for testing cortical bone.
