- Title
THE ECUMENICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF OBERLIN.
- Authors
Dayton, Donald W.
- Abstract
The article discusses on the ecumenical significance of Oberlin, Ohio. The author urges people to ponder the wider ecumenical significance of Oberlin in four steps. He wishes first to offer an analysis of the report of Oberlin I, indicating what he believes to be a major flaw that prevents it from being an adequate guide to the Faith and Order work in the next half-century. Finally, he wishes to use the later history of Oberlin to open up one of the key ecumenical challenges of our time by reflecting on a tale of two colleges.
