The article discusses the prudence in emblem books with varying national traditions. It cites the book of author Guillaume Gueroult "La femme prudente," which offers a glimpse of the allusions to Prudence in emblem books that covers in the sixteenth and early to middle seventeenth centuries. It also mentions the relationship of prudence to other virtues based on the concept described by philosopher and theologian Thomas Aquinas.
