- Abstract
The article focuses on the collaboration between the faculties of the Open University of Indonesia and Florida State University (FSU) College of Education and Learning Systems Institute. It discusses the joint efforts given by the universities for the development of Universitas Terbuka's (UT) distance teacher education program through collaborative works and workshops. UT has started playing an important role in training the teachers in Indonesia, since its establishment in 1984, and it falls under the Decentralized Basic Education (DBE) which partners universities in Indonesia and the U.S. to improve the capacity of Indonesian higher education.
