Abstract
The article discusses technology developed by scientists in Mexico that degrades disposable diapers through the use of mushrooms. Topics include mushrooms tendency to feed on cellulose, which is a material found in synthetic diapers, the details related to the substrat process for the degrading mushrooms, and the effects of the degradation of the diapers on the soil. Commentary from scientist Rosa María Espinosa Valdemar is provided.
