Title
Child Finds Fossil.
Abstract
The article reports about archaeological discovery in South Africa of a nine-year-old Matthew Berger who had encountered the bones of a new hominid species that lived almost two million years ago. Lee R. Berger, an American paleoanthropologist and the father of Matthew, who had been searching for hominid bones for almost two decades, described the species as ancestors of Homo erectus. Most of the scientists agreed that the discovery of the skeletons contribute to the fossil history of hominids.
