- Title
For Grades K-3: Trying Tasks.
- Abstract
The article presents a scientific activity that would lead students to recognize the number of different joints in the human body as well as their importance in accomplishing daily tasks. As a start, the teacher will ask the students to bring materials like poker chips, pennies, box, masking tape, sponge ball, basketball, plastic laundry basket and ace bandage. The activity proper begins by asking students to perform actions like standing still, bending over, waving arms, and kicking legs. By the use of materials, the students will likewise perform several tasks emphasizing the bones and joint movements. As the activity is about to end, the teacher may expand the topic by tackling those scientists who have worked and studied the subject.
