- Title
In Brief.
- Abstract
The article presents several studies related to health in the United States. One research that was conducted in the animal models has found that the exposure to long-term air pollution and the acceleration of atherosclerosis and vascular inflammation have an independent association. Another group of researchers found that the level of copper, zinc and other metals in the nature is not adequate to meet the needs of the global population even if recycled. However these metals are not at risk of depletion in the immediate future. A continental-scale genetic survey of soil bacteria revealed that the soil pH is the primary factor that seems to govern the diversity of soil bacteria. The neutral soils of deserts can produce more bacterial species than the soils of tropical forests. Therefore the arid desert region have more microbial diversity that Amazon forest.
