- Abstract
The article explores some of writer Henry James' letters about his life in London, England from December 10, 1876. In a letter to his friend Elizabeth Boott in mid-February 1877, James detailed the progress in his adjustment from the life in Paris, France to London. In a letter to his mother on May 1877, he described his feelings about making London his residence. In a letter to his brother Robertson dated January 11, 1880, he explored the ability of the city to nourish him.
