- Abstract
The article presents information on a study which investigated the feasibility of using computer-enhanced instrumentation for improving patient safety during endoscopic transaxillary first-rib resection for thoracic outlet syndrome. The methodology and results of the study are discussed. In conclusion, endoscopic computerized instrumentation in transaxillary first-rib resection decreases the risk of neurovascular injury, thus promoting complete decompression and enhancing patient safety.
