- Abstract
This article presents a case study on pemphigus foliaceus. A patient aged 58 years, was admitted to hospital in June 1975 with widespread pemphigus foliaceus. He had noticed an erythematous scaly eruption on his back, which, within 2 months, had spread to involve most of the trunk, limbs, scalp and face. He also stated that his skin peeled off after lying in bed. On examination he had confluent erythematous oozing lesions, many of which were crusted or scaling, widely distributed on his scalp, ears, face, trunk and limbs.
