- Abstract
The article features the study conducted on the composition and various uses of sclerotia of Polyporus umbelatus, a fungus that belongs to Polyporaceae, Basidiomycetes, in Shaanxi, China. When researchers did a chemical analysis on the plant, they discovered that it contains nine compounds, including ethanol, petroleum ether, dichloromethane, and ethylacetate. Moreover, the plant is used as a diuretic in Chinese medicine.
