Abstract
The article reports on the plan of Ireland Minister for the Environment John Gormley to develop a noise control legislation in the country. Gormley stresses that the law will comprise codes of practice that will prevent noise pollution in the construction industry, commercial and domestic environment. He anticipates the legislation to receive approval from the public and expects for its implementation before the summer of 2009.
