- Abstract
Catalytic ring opening reactions of α-epoxyketones by boron trifluoride supported on hydroxyapatite-encapsulated-γ-FeO [γ-FeO@HAp-BFCHOH] as a heterogeneous, reusable and highly efficient catalyst in methanol solution at room temperature resulted in the formation of α-hydroxyl-β-methoxyketones through C-O cleavage in excellent yields. The catalyst can be easily separated by a magnet and reused for several cycles.
