The article discusses study of influence of propionibacteria on in vitro lactic acid clearance rate and in vivo rumen fermentation in steers fed concentrate diets. Topics discussed include integrity of permit bacteria translocation and ruminal epithelium threatened by ruminal acidosis to blood stream, liver abscesses contributed to losses in beef cattle industry and influence of dosing of direct fed microbial (DFM) on in vitro.
