- Title
Editorial: Konvivialismus und Kollektivität.
- Abstract
The editorial of the Journal for Cultural and Collective Sciences reports on the intensive conference "Collectivity and Conviviality" in Regensburg. It emphasizes that conviviality requires adherence to civil society's minimal standards of non-violence and tolerance. Convivialism, developed in France, is based on a critique of utilitarianism and identifies the category of gift as the foundation of a good society. The contributions in this issue deal with conviviality in economic organizations, particularly in social movements, and examine practices of horizontal and democratic relationships as well as internal conflict resolution mechanisms. Connections between convivialism and law, economy, and collectivity are also established.
