- Abstract
The article examines the role of hypertrophic olivary degeneration in reducing essential tremor (ET). It highlights the case of a right-handed patient who has more than a 30-year history of hand tremor, which impairs his handwriting and fine motor control, who also has not taken medications for tremor and has not sought medical consultation from a phsyician. It mentions that the patient developed the syndrome of progressive ataxia with palatal tremor at least 30 years after the onset of his ET.
