- Abstract
Health services underwent restructuring to try to overcome the fragmentation of care. In this context, the health of children with chronic diseases is included, which is supported by the National Policy for Comprehensive Child Health Care as a strategy for reorganizing the Care Network. Objective: to discuss and reflect on the organization of health care networks in assisting children with chronic diseases, including Cystic Fibrosis. Method: Theoretical-reflective study elaborated from the critical reading of the National Policy of Comprehensive Child Health Care, in the care networks of the Unified Health System and in scientific studies that discuss the theme. Development: The reorganization of health systems aims to promote effective, accessible and resolving changes that permeate the three levels of assistance, strengthening the comprehensiveness of services. Encouraging changes in the health system based on the adaptation of the system to meet chronic conditions, use of information technology, promotion of permanent and continuing education, coordination, multidisciplinarity and monitoring of processes and results. Final considerations: Allowed reflections on assistance to these children, identification of care and access bottlenecks, as well as strategies for coping with these problems.
