The Asian Religious Resurgence in the Context of Global Secularity.
- Authors
Sali, Augustine
- Abstract
The article offers the author's insight on the religious resurgence and other religious engagements in Asia in the context of global security. He mentions that Japan only experiences a modest religious resurgence compared to its neighboring countries despite being a pioneer of laity-based, peace and prosperity religions. He says that the emphasis of the resurgence is on temporal/immanent social satisfactions in Asia, linking economic context to success in applying religion to daily activities.
