- Title
Delta E Blues: The Science of Color Perception.
- Authors
Lindström, Paul
- Abstract
The article provides analysis on the often-misunderstood science of color comparison known as Delta E System. The author notes that Delta E numbers, which were frequently use by vendors to argue their product's superiority, has more than one formula and different arguments for using each one. As evidence, he cites several versions of Delta E which were used by publishing enterprises and vendors for their color measurement. Further, he suggests designers, publishers and printers to have more precise formulas for distinguishing colors.
